Bhubaneswar, Aug 11: As many as 452 seats remained vacant after the first phase of admission for medical courses in Odisha.
The first phase of admission concluded on August 8 for 1369 seats following physical reporting and 452 seats remain vacant.
Registration, online application, and document upload for the second phase of seat allotment will be conducted between August 14 and 17.
The rectified state merit list will be released on August 19. The second phase seat will be allotted on August 23, the Odisha Joint Entrance Examination (OJEE) Informed.
Notably, there are a total of 1821 medical seats in Odisha. In the first phase, 1756 seats were allotted to students - 1625 for the MBBS course and 131 for the BDS course. However, 452 seats have remained vacant from the allotted seats.
Out of the 452 seats, 243 seats are for unreserved quota, 27 seats for unreserved SG, 11 for unreserved GC, 34 for unreserved, two for unreserved EXS, two for EW, three for EW PC, 41 in SC quota, three in SC SG, one in SC PC, one in SC EX, 39 in ST quota, 15 in ST SG, one in STGC, six in ST PC, one in ST EX, 22 in NRI.
