Rourkela, Mar 8: At least three persons lost their lives while 13 others were injured after the pickup van they were travelling in turned turtle at Mundajor under Lathikata police limits in Sundergarh.
Sources said, the van was overspeeding during its return to Jharkhand afyter attending the marriage when the driver lost control of the steering wheel on a ghat near Lathikata and turned turtle.
All the injured were initially admitted to Rourkela Government Hospital (RGH) for treatment. Of them, three later shifted to a private hospital here after their condition deteriorated where doctor declared them dead.
The police sent the bodies for post-mortem and launched a probe in this connection.
