23rd Kalinga Natya Mahotsav to treat audience with five plays

Bhubaneswar, Feb 19: The twenty-third edition of Kalinga Natya Mahotsav, the national-level multilingual drama festival, is going to treat theatre lovers of the state showcasing a variety of plays. The five-day long festival organised by city based theatre troupe, Satabdira Kalakar, will stage five plays in five different Indian languages from February 21 to 25. The Mahotsav will begin with Hindi play ‘Gagan Ghata Ghahrani’ on February 21. Artists of Satabdira Kalakara will perform Odia play ‘Eka Jidkhor Jhia’ on the second evening directed by Dhira Mallick. Bengali play ‘Sappho Chitrangada’ will be performed on third evening followed by Telgu play ‘Madhuparkaalu’ on February 24 evening. The event will down its curtains with Assamise play ‘Ghatotkach Putra Mor’ on February 25. The plays will be staged at Rabindra Mandap here at 6.45 pm every evening.
