Bhubaneswar, Sep 11: Odisha State Handloom Weavers Co-op Society Ltd (Boyanika), the only apex society of the state for marketing of handwovens, is organising the 20th National Level Handloom Expo at Unit-III IDCO Exhibition Ground, Bhubaneswar from September 11 to October 8 for facilitating sustainable livelihood to the weavers of the different parts of the country as well as Odisha by providing a common platform for marketing their handloom products.
The expo was inaugurated by Arabinda Kumar Padhee, Principal Secretary, Handlooms, Textiles & Handicrafts.
This expo is sponsored by Handlooms, Textiles & Handicrafts department. Leading PWCS of our state, leading handloom organisations i.e. Apex & Corporations and major handloom clusters from different states of the country are participating in this expo.
Around 170 participants from Uttar Pradesh, Jammu & Kashmir, Rajasthan, Madhya Pradesh, West Bengal, Andhra Pradesh, Karnataka, Haryana, Maharasthra, Tamilnadu, Puduchery, Telengana, Bihar and Odisha have participated in this expo. The expo will remain open from 11.30 A.M to 9.30 P.M daily. All ranges of handwovens of our country are available in this fair for our esteemed customers.
Boyanika is working as the implementing agency and committed for all round socio economic development of the weavers of the state. This organisation is implementing various developmental programmes for the welfare of weavers of the state.
