Kolkata, May 13: A total of 144 MLAs took oath on the first day of the swearing-in ceremony at the West Bengal Assembly on Wednesday.
Protem Speaker Tapas Roy said the remaining 146 newly elected legislators are scheduled to take their oath on May 14. “Today, 150 MLAs were expected to take oath, but six were absent due to various reasons,” Roy told reporters.
