Bhubaneswar, Feb 28: Dr. Arabinda Padhee, the Additional Chief Secretary of the Revenue and Disaster Management Department, has directed all District Collectors in Odisha to expedite the collection of land revenue and water cess for the financial year 2025-26.

With the financial year nearing its end, the Finance Department has set ambitious targets of Rs 980 crore from land revenue and Rs 25.32 crore from water cess. To ensure these targets are met, Dr. Padhee has urged the Collectors to remain vigilant and adopt proactive measures in the final stretch of the fiscal year.

Furthermore, Dr. Padhee has instructed the Revenue Divisional Commissioners to conduct weekly reviews to assess progress on the collection targets. He emphasized the importance of regular reporting and monitoring to ensure that the set goals are achieved in a timely and efficient manner.
