Bhubaneswar, May 03: Executive Director of AIIMS Bhubaneswar, Dr. Ashutosh Biswas, along with AIIMS Bhubaneswar President Dr. Shailesh Kumar, called on Odisha Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi at Lok Seva Bhawan yesterday.
During the meeting, Dr. Biswas discussed several key developmental matters with the Chief Minister, focusing on patient care, medical education, and institutional expansion. Among the important issues raised were provision of additional land for the expansion of AIIMS Bhubaneswar to meet the growing healthcare demands and integration of AIIMS Bhubaneswar under the Bhubaneswar Municipal Corporation (BMC) for better urban services and civic support.
Dr. Biswas emphasized AIIMS Bhubaneswar’s commitment to delivering quality healthcare services, fostering cutting-edge research, and nurturing medical professionals to serve the region and the nation.
The Chief Minister appreciated the institute’s efforts and assured all necessary support from the state government for the holistic development of AIIMS Bhubaneswar. He acknowledged the institute’s pivotal role in transforming healthcare delivery and contributing significantly to both healthcare and medical education in Odisha.
“It was an enlightening meeting with the Chief Minister of Odisha, where several crucial issues related to healthcare, education, and institutional development were discussed,” said Dr. Biswas.
AIIMS Bhubaneswar Executive Director Dr. Ashutosh Biswas also met state Chief Secretary Manoj Ahuja and Health Secretary Aswathy S, and discussed several aspects regarding the comprehensive development of the national institute.
