Mumbai, Jan 11: Neetu Kapoor revealed an unexpected aspect of her late husband, actor Rishi Kapoor, during her appearance on Koffee With Karan 8. The actress, along with Zeenat Aman, reminisced about the days when she and Rishi were dating. Neetu shared that Rishi was a 'strict boyfriend' who didn't permit her to engage in heavy partying. Recalling the times she worked with Yash Chopra, she mentioned late-night gatherings and fun activities like antakshari and dumb charades. Despite the lively atmosphere, Neetu never experienced wild partying because Rishi imposed certain restrictions, urging her to come home early.
"I was in a committed relationship and faced a dilemma between my strict mother and my strict boyfriend," she elaborated.
Neetu Kapoor had a significant period of dating Rishi before their engagement on April 13, 1979, and their subsequent marriage on January 22, 1980. Following her wedding, Neetu decided to step away from acting. The couple, blessed with two children, a daughter named Riddhima and a son named Ranbir Kapoor, entered a new chapter in their lives, prompting Neetu to take a backseat from her acting career.
