Jajpur, Sept 30: In a significant breakthrough, Ramachandrapur Police under Anandapur Subdivision have foiled a major robbery attempt and arrested five individuals while they were planning the crime. Acting on a tip-off, police conducted a surprise raid near Jardaa village and apprehended the suspects before the robbery could be executed.

The operation, led by Ramachandrapur IIC Manoj Swain, resulted in the seizure of several deadly weapons and three motorcycles used by the accused. According to police sources, the five suspects had gathered at the location to plan a dacoity when they were intercepted.

The arrested have been identified as: Karan Pradhana of Teleṅgā Basti, Purvakot under Korei Police Station, Jajpur district, Ahula Tarak, Michel Rahul, Ahula Laxman Rao, Ahula Nanda Rao.

All are reportedly involved in multiple criminal cases registered in Ranchi (Jharkhand), Badambadi (Cuttack), and various police stations in Jajpur district, including Kuakhia and Korei.

Following their arrest, the accused were produced before the court. Police officials stated that further investigation is underway to uncover more links related to their criminal network.
