Athagarh, July 12: In a shocking incident, a man allegedly killed his father over family dispute at Mushulia village under Khuntuni police limits in Cuttack district last night. The deceased has been identified as Natha Purty. According to police, elder son of the deceased was living separately. Natha and his younger son was living jointly. The accused used to quarrel with his father and they had a quarrel on Saturday too following which Natha and his younger son had appealed the village heads to solve the family dispute. Irate over the incident, the accused attacked his father and younger brother with knife last night. Natha succumbed to the injury while his younger son has been admitted to SCB Hospital in Cuttack in a critical condition. Police has detained the accused and interrogation was on.
