Bhubaneswar, Feb 20: Utkal University in Bhubaneswar has introduced new guidelines aimed at maintaining discipline on campus. The authorities have made it mandatory for all students to carry valid ID cards while on university premises.

Security personnel have been authorized to check students' ID cards on the campus. Any individual found without a valid ID card or a legitimate reason for being on the premises will be considered an "unauthorized person" and handed over to the police, according to university officials.

The university has also declared its campus a 'zero tolerance' zone for the use of tobacco, intoxicants, and e-cigarettes. The consumption of alcohol, tobacco, and other intoxicants is strictly prohibited. Any violations of this rule will lead to severe disciplinary action.

In addition to these measures, the university has restricted unauthorized loitering on the campus. Authorities have emphasized that no one will be allowed to disrupt the academic environment or engage in indiscipline. All students are expected to follow these guidelines, with strict action promised against any violators.
