Bhubaneswar, Dec 12: Odisha Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi is set to inaugurate the much-awaited Konark Eco Retreat at Ramchandi beach at the Puri-Konark Marine Drive today at 5 pm.
The three-month-long event, organised annually by the State Tourism Department near the mouth of the Kushabhadra River, promises to offer tourists an immersive experience in nature. This year, the retreat will feature 70 luxury tent cottages equipped with star hotel-like amenities, including beach bars, to provide an unforgettable stay.
Visitors will have the opportunity to indulge in a variety of activities, such as water sports, beach volleyball, parasailing, and bicycle rides. Additionally, there will be music performances and yoga programmes to enhance the overall experience.
District Collector Dibya Jyoti Parida reviewed the preparations, aiming to attract both domestic and international tourists and highlight the natural beauty of the region.
In addition to the Chief Minister, Deputy Chief Minister Pravati Parida, along with other senior officials and dignitaries, will attend the inauguration ceremonies. This eco retreat is expected to become a key attraction for tourists during Odisha's winter tourism season.
