Balangir, Feb 12: The body of a young man, identified as Bhaktaram Majhi of Bandhanpali village, was recovered from the Ghanamahul gate crossing on the Kantabanji-Muribahal railway line. Bhaktaram had reportedly gone to attend a wedding on Wednesday evening.

His family was informed after his body was found on the railway tracks. According to reports, Bhaktaram had sustained a severe head injury. The family has alleged that he was murdered and his body was deliberately left on the tracks, demanding action against the accused.

The GRP and local police reached the scene and have begun an investigation. Authorities said the exact cause of death will be confirmed after the inquiry is completed.
