Cuttack, Oct 1: In a first-of-its-kind initiative, the Cuttack administration has produced a special theme song titled “Ama Aitihasika Baliyatra” (Our Historic Baliyatra) to highlight the grandeur of the historic Bali Yatra and promote Odisha’s rich cultural and maritime heritage across the nation.

The song celebrates Odisha’s ancient seafaring and trade legacy, reflecting the state’s cultural pride and oceanic glory through a contemporary artistic lens.

Penned by ACP Krushnachandra Sethi, the lyrics capture the essence of Odisha’s glorious past and its enduring traditions. The composition has been directed by Bikash Shukla, with music arranged by Prafulla Behera.

The theme song features vocals by ACP Krushnachandra Sethi, ACP Satyajit Das, Shaujanya Rath, and Bishnu Mohan Kabi, adding a lively and festive tone to the piece.

Serving as creative heads of the project, ACP Amitabh Mahapatra and Sai Siddhant Mishra have played key roles in conceptualization, organization, and creative direction. The recording took place at Milan Studio, Cuttack.

Through this artistic venture, the Cuttack administration aims to revive the literary and cultural spirit of the iconic Baliyatra festival, offering Odias a renewed connection with their historical identity.

The song is set to be released soon along with its official music video, which is expected to serve as a symbol of pride and inspiration for the people of Odisha.
