Bhubaneswar, Oct 18: Odisha schools will remain closed on October 20 on account of Diwali.
The School & Mass Education Department on Saturday issued notification in this connection.
According to the notification, all the schools in the state including government and government aided except in the Nuapada district will remain closed on Monday for Diwali.
Earlier, the Odisha Revenue Department had declared October 21 a holiday for Diwali.However, with the Chief Minister’s approval, the 20th October Diwali was declared a government holiday.
