New Delhi, January 26: India marked its 77th Republic Day with a magnificent display of its cultural heritage, economic achievements, and military strength. The grand parade featured an impressive showcase of warplanes, indigenously developed missiles, newly-formed military units, and powerful weaponry that played a pivotal role in Operation Sindoor.

The celebrations were further elevated by the presence of distinguished international guests, including European Council President Antonio Costa and European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen, who attended as chief guests, highlighting a key diplomatic milestone alongside the military spectacle.

The annual parade underscored India’s strategic autonomy, as it exhibited a wide array of defence platforms, blending Russian-origin technology with cutting-edge US-manufactured equipment. The event not only highlighted India's growing military capabilities but also reinforced its stance on diversified defence sourcing.
