Baliguda, Feb 9: The district-level Subhadra Shakti Mela was officially inaugurated on Sunday in Baliguda, Kandhamal district, marking the start of a week-long celebration aimed at promoting women’s empowerment and showcasing local crafts.

Kandhamal District Collector, Vedbhushan, graced the event as the chief guest and formally inaugurated the ceremony. He was joined by key dignitaries such as Baliguda Sub-District Magistrate Pranita Das, ITDA’s Krupashindhu Behera, CDO Shambhunath Nandi, BDO Akshay Mallik, and other senior officials who lent their support to the event.

The event will run for seven days, featuring daily cultural performances by local groups each evening.
