Gujarat, Feb 16: Several schools across Gujarat were gripped by disruption on Monday after hoax bomb threat emails were sent from overseas-based Khalistani terrorists, targeting educational institutions in Ahmedabad and Vadodara. The threats prompted mass evacuations and extensive security measures across the affected campuses.

According to initial reports, more than 30 schools-15 in Ahmedabad and 16 in Vadodara-received emails claiming that bombs had been planted on their premises. Authorities immediately responded after school administrations alerted the police, triggering a swift evacuation of students and staff.

In Vadodara, the affected schools included prominent institutions such as D.R. Amin (Vasna Road), Urmi (Sama-Savli), Nalanda (Waghodia Road), Baroda High School (Bagikhana), Navyug (Sama), Jeevan Sadhana (Nagarwada), AWS (Dabhoi), Shannen (Khodiyarnagar), GPS School (Waghodia), Bright Day School (Vasna), Atmiya Vidyalaya, Don Bosco, Billabong, Auxilium, Zenith School (Pratapnagar), and the American School (Kapurai). In addition to evacuating students, the hostel at Urmi School was also cleared. Police teams, along with bomb detection and disposal squads (BDDS) and a dog squad, were deployed to conduct thorough searches at each campus.

Similarly, in Ahmedabad, 15 schools and one university reported receiving similar bomb threats, causing widespread concern among parents and officials. The institutions affected in Ahmedabad included DAV International School (Makarba), Asia School (Vastrapur), A One School (Satellite), Ankur International School (Krishnanagar), St. Kabir (Navrangpura), Silver Bell School (Bapunagar), Tulip International School (Bopal), SGVP Gurukul School, A.G.
