Puri, Aug 31: A youth was killed after he was brutally attacked by three persons with an iron rod at a roadside eatery near Jatia Baba Chhak under Kumbharpada police limits in Puri yesterday evening.
The deceased has been identified as Ladu Naik, a resident of Gopabandhu Colony here while the accused have been identified as Ganga Naik and his two sons namely Sachi Naik and Sundana Naik of Dandimala Sahi.
Though Ladu Naik was immediately rushed to the district headquarters hospital, he was declared dead by the doctors.
Police have arrested Ganga Naik and Sundana Naik while Sachi Naik is absconding.
Police reached the spot and sent the bodies of Naik for post-mortem.
Notably, the deceased has 12 criminal cases against his name, police said.
