Bhubaneswar, May 4: Body of a young woman was found hanging from a rented house in Bharatpur area in Bhubaneswar.
The deceased woman has been identified as Bishnupriya Rout. Rout was staying with another woman in the rented house. However, her body was recovered hanging under mysterious circumstances on Friday.
Being informed, Bharatpur police reached the spot, seized the body and sent it for autopsy. However, the exact reason for her death is yet to be ascertained.
Meanwhile, family members of the deceased lodged a complaint alleging it a murder as the roommate of her daughter is at large. Based on the complaint, police have started a probe into the incident with the help of a scientific team.
Bharatpur's Inspector-in-Charge dismissed the murder accusations against Bishnupriya's roommate, asserting it as a case of suicide. “The body was discovered hanging inside a locked house, leading authorities to conclude it as a clear instance of suicide”, stated the Bharatpur IIC.
