Young Lawyers Must Take Responsibilities of Future: CJI Surya Kant

New Delhi, August 15: Chief Justice of India Surya Kant on Saturday said that although the country has overcome several formidable challenges over the past eight decades, much remains to be achieved. He called upon young law graduates and lawyers to prepare themselves to take on the responsibilities and challenges of the future.

Addressing the national flag-hoisting ceremony organised by the Supreme Court Bar Association to mark the 80th Independence Day celebrations at the Supreme Court premises, CJI Kant said India’s journey must continue beyond its achievements.

“Every achievement brings with it a renewed sense of responsibility and duty. There is much that remains to be done and many more miles to travel in our journey ahead,” he said.

The Chief Justice said the country’s progress should serve as an inspiration for the younger generation, especially those entering the legal profession, to play an active role in nation-building.

He urged young lawyers and law graduates to equip themselves to meet future challenges and contribute towards fulfilling the nation’s aspirations and responsibilities.
