Balasore, Dec 18: A man was killed after a violent altercation with his brother over a domestic dispute in Manakunda village, under the Bhogarai police station in Balasore district. The victim has been identified as Sudam Majhi.

Police have detained Sudhakar Majhi, the younger brother of the deceased, in connection with the incident and is currently investigating the circumstances surrounding the case.

Reports suggest that the confrontation began with a heated argument between the two brothers, which soon escalated into a fight. During the altercation, Sudhakar allegedly pushed Sudam to the ground. The family immediately rushed Sudam to the Jaleswarpur Community Health Centre for medical attention. However, as his condition deteriorated, he was transferred to the Balasore District Headquarters Hospital, where he was declared dead.

The police are now looking into the cause of the dispute and the details surrounding Sudam’s tragic death.
