Bhubaneswar, January 31: The Police Commissionerate of Bhubaneswar-Cuttack has released a traffic advisory in preparation for President Droupadi Murmu’s upcoming six-day visit to Odisha, which will commence on February 2, 2026. The President’s official itinerary begins with her arrival in Bhubaneswar.

To ensure VIP/VVIP security and facilitate smooth traffic movement, temporary restrictions will be enforced on several key routes. These measures are being implemented in accordance with Section 28 of the Odisha Urban Police Act, 2003, and Regulation 36 of the Bhubaneswar-Cuttack Police Commissionerate (Traffic and Public Order) Regulations, 2008.

Commuters are advised to avoid the designated routes, utilize alternate roads when possible, plan their journeys ahead of time, and factor in additional travel time to reach their destinations. It is also recommended to follow the instructions provided by traffic personnel to help ensure the smooth flow of traffic.

Exemptions to these restrictions will be made for emergency vehicles, such as fire tenders and ambulances.

Authorities have requested the cooperation of residents and travelers to ensure the success of the President’s visit and to maintain effective traffic management throughout the city.
