Jagatsinghpur, Aug 7: In a shocking incident, a woman was allegedly raped while grazing goats in Odisha's Jagatsinghpur district last evening.
The survivor sustained severe injuries and is currently receiving treatment at the Raghunathpur Community Health Centre (CHC).
As per reports, the woman had gone to graze goats when she was allegedly abducted by a miscreant while returning home. He then took her to an isolated spot in the forest and raped her.
He also physically assaulted her before fleeing the scene. Nearby villagers and locals came to her aid and quickly transported her to the CHC. Later, her family members filed a police complaint.
Acting on the complaint, police launched an investigation into the matter.
