​​​​​​​Hyderabad, Oct 28: As the Cyclone Montha is approaching the Andhra coast, several flights are cancelled in Andhra and Telangana, flagging danger alert for the operators.

According to reports, over 37 flights between Shamshabad in Telangana and Vijayawada, Visakhapatnam, and Rajahmundry airports in Andhra Pradesh were cancelled today over the cyclone Montha.

As many as 30 IndiGo, two Air India and five Air India Express flights have been cancelled as the SCS Month approaches the Andhra Pradesh coast around Kakinada.

Worth mentioning with the Cyclone Montha, intensifying and proceeding towards the coast in Andhra Pradesh, its landfall process is going to begin soon.

Cyclone Montha is expected to cross the Andhra Pradesh coast between Machilipatnam and Kalingapatnam around Kakinada between 5.30 pm and 8.30 pm as a severe cyclonic storm.

As of now, the coastal districts of Andhra Pradesh are experiencing rain and strong winds as Cyclone Montha makes its way to the state.

As the cyclonic system approaches the coast, it is expected to intensify, bringing winds of 90-100 kmph, gusting up to 110 kmph.
