Mayurbhanj, Jan 18: A woman was allegedly killed over sorcery suspicion in Mayurbhanj on Wednesday.
The deceased has been identified as Minti Murmu.
According to the information, some unpleasant incidents were taking place in the village during the last few days. Suspecting Minti practising sorcery on them, her brother-in-law and nephew attacked her with a sharp weapon and fled the spot.
The deceased’s husband Bolai Murmu has filed a written complaint at the police station accusing his brother-in-law and nephew of killing his wife.
Later, police, along with a forensic team reached the spot and sent the body for post-mortem.
