Puri, Oct 4: In an unprecedented incident, a woman worker, sacked from job reportedly consumed poison in the District Labor Office (DLO) Puri on Saturday.

The woman, identified as Maheswari Das, was admitted to the DHH, Puri for resuscitation.

According to sources, Maheswari was working as a contractual worker in the Puri DHH. However, she was in a traumatic state of midn after she was sacked from her job. Getting no ways out, after she failed to regain her job Das moved the DLO regarding her inconvenience. Today she consumed poison all of a sudden while hearing of her matter was going on before the DLO’s court.

On being informed, Das was rushed to the hospital in a critical situation.

The comments of either the DLO officials or police in this connection, are awaited.
