Mohana, Aug 23: A woman was beaten to death allegedly by her husband following a heated argument that turned violent in Odisha’s Gajapati district.
The deceased has been identified as Sarugala Mallick.
According to reports, Sarugala Mallick and Hadu Mallick were residing at Ranikhamma village under Mohana police limits in Gajapati district. A brawl broke out between the couple over some reason following which the husband assaulted his wife. The woman succumbed to the injuries later.
After the incident came to the fore, the neighbors informed the local police. On receiving information, police reached the spot and recovered the body.
A probe has been initiated into the incident.
