London, July 13: The Wimbledon Final 2024 on Sunday is going to be a rematch of the last year's summit clash.

But will the results change? Can the winner of 24 Grand Slam titles Novak Djokovic, beat last year Wimbledon champion Carlos Alcaraz to add one more crown to his dazzling hat?

Or, will it be Alcaraz again? Even Djokovic, has admitted that it's going to be very tough to beat inform Alcarez.

For those who might have forgotten or missed last year's breathtaking Wimbledon title fight, the Sunday battle between the two formidable champion tennis players, is going to be another opportunity to rekindle their old memories.

In the final last year, Alcaraz beat Djokovic 1-6, 7-6 (8-6), 6-1, 3-6, 6-4 in a five-set epic, which lasted four hours 42 minutes and is regarded as one of the best matches in the tournament's history.

As both stalwarts cross swords again on Sunday, it could be another amazing chapter in Wimbledon folklore, experts stated.

On Friday, Djokovic overcame Italian underdog Lorenzo Musetti to set up a final date with Alcaraz. The 37-year-old Serb stayed on course for a record-equalling eighth men's singles title at Wimbledon with a 6-4, 7-6 (7-2), 6-4 victory on Centre Court.

The 22-year-old Musetti, of course had one chance to get the break back in the final set but could not match Djokovic's experience and expertise as a champion tennis player. The Serbian too ensured that his young opponent Musetti did not get another chance to make a comeback into the game.

Earlier, the world No 3 Alcaraz, made a stunning comeback with a 7-6, 3-6, 4-6, 4-6 wins against the world No5 Daniil Medvedev in the first semi-final of the men's singles at Wimbledon 2024.

The final will be also interesting depending on the crowd behaviour. Earlier, the Wimbledon audience had booed Djokovic on a few occasions.

Overall, the Djokovic-Alcaraz faceoff on Sunday for the Wimbledon 2024 title, is expected to be a very high voltage game, where crowd behaviour may come into picture as well.
