Baripada, Jan 25: A joint team of the forest department and the Similipal Tiger Reserve conducted simultaneous raids in the Thakurmunda and Dudhuani Ranges of Karanjia Forest in Odisha’s Mayurbhanj district and seized large quantities of wildlife products. The team has also arrested six wildlife smugglers during the raids.
Acting on a tip-off, the joint team conducted raids in several places and seized around 4.5Kg lightning rods from Khaprakahi village in Thakurmunda Range and arrested two persons. Similarly, the team also seized eight deer horns, six sambar horns, 4kg pangolin scales from Padmapur village near Jashipur and arrested four accused.
