Bhubaneswar, March 16: The deadline for submitting applications for the Common PG Entrance Test (CPET) has been extended. The last date to apply for the examination has now been extended till 18th March, 2026.

Aspirant candidates can fill up their Common Application Form (CAF) through the SAMS portal until 18th March, 2026, 11.45 PM.

Earlier, as per the scheduled timeline, 15th March, 2026 was the last date for submitting applications for the CPET examination. However, keeping in view the larger interest and future prospects of students, the Higher Education Department has decided to extend the application deadline.

It is noteworthy that students seeking admission into postgraduate courses for the academic session 2026–27 will have to appear for the Common PG Entrance Test (CPET).

The CPET entrance examinations for various postgraduate subjects will be conducted from 27th April to 10th May, 2026. Selection of students for postgraduate courses will be made on the basis of marks secured in the CPET.

The Higher Education Department has also set a target to commence postgraduate courses in all universities and colleges by 10th July, 2026. This will help ensure timely completion of academic sessions, examinations and declaration of results, thereby benefiting students across Odisha.
