Reasi, June 9: A massive wild flare in Jammu & Kashmir’s Reasi forest on Sunday, has reportedly hit the biodiversity of the valley in many ways.
A great deal of wildlife is feared to be at stake following the wildfire that devoured wide range of green forest last night, said reports.
On being informed, swift action from local forest authorities rushed to the spot and undertook a dousing operation
The situation came under control following hourlong operations by the fire brigades.
The cause of the fire is still under investigation.
Officials are monitoring the area to prevent further flare-ups, and efforts are ongoing to determine the origin of the fire.
No casualties of wildlife have been reported so far, reported the forest officials.However, assessing the massive fire, environmentalists & wildlife wardens fear, the blazes might have posed harms to the cold habitat and its diversities in many ways.
