Bhubaneswar, Nov 1: The Odisha government will release financial assistance under the Subhadra Yojana to newly eligible beneficiaries on March 8, 2026, marking International Women’s Day, Deputy Chief Minister Pravati Parida said on Saturday.

Parida, who holds the Women and Child Development Department, said the move reaffirms the state’s commitment to women’s empowerment and welfare.

The Subhadra Portal has now been reopened for women who will turn 21 by April 1, 2025, allowing them to apply online. The initiative ensures that no eligible woman misses out on the scheme’s benefits this time.

“Women who could not apply earlier for any reason can now do so,” Parida said.

However, she clarified that those previously found ineligible in government surveys should refrain from applying again. Applicants are required to submit the same set of documents as in the earlier application rounds.

To ensure maximum participation, the application window may be extended by one month, Parida added.

After verification, all eligible applicants will receive their financial assistance in two installments on March 8, 2026.
