Bhubaneswar, March 17: Dr. Debendra Pradhan was as epitome of simplicity and he was a man of words and deeds, said Union Defence Minister Rajnath Singh on Tuesday.
Paying heartfelt homage to former Union Minister Late Dr Debendra Pradhan on his first Death Anniversary held at OUAT Auditorium in Bhubaneswar today, Singh recalled his sweet memoirs with Dr. Pradhan during his tenure in the Atal Bihari Vajpayee’s Cabinet as the Union Minister of State for Surface Transport & Agriculture.
Terming late Pradhan as a visionary and people’s leader, the Defence Minister said, Dr. Pradhan was a distinguished leader unlike other politicians who always believed to serve people at their needs.
Underlining the credibility of a true politician Singh said, as the words, politics & politicians were understood then with less acceptability and scantier social affiliation, Dr. Pradhan was a distinguished leader. He had a name & fame in Odisha and across the nation, for his kind words and eminence of public service.
Singh also said, Dr Pradhan was never a person of mere words and promises. Rather, he was a man of action, as he was meticulously keeping up his promises, what he committed to people during his high-spanned political domain.
Elaborating his dedication to BJP, the Defence Minister said, Dr Pradhan would be remembered for good, as an inspiring visionary, outstanding organizer to transform crisis into credibility, as he achieved in the state.
Late Dr Pradhan’s ideology, thoughts and statesmanship will be motivating the youth and socialists of the country to contribute towards building a developed India in the times to come, Singh added.
