Perth (Australia), Aug 16: The Perth Scorchers have extended their contract with Kiwis skipper Sophie Devine for two more seasons of Women's Big Bash League (WBBL).
One of the finest allrounders in world cricket, Devine will be wearing the Perth Scorchers orange and black jersey for two more seasons, a section of media stated.
She was retained by the Scorchers in the inaugural overseas player draft last year. She scored 489 runs and scalped 14 wickets.
Besides, Devine is only two wickets away from completing a 100 in the WBBL. She captained the side to the 2021-22 title, their first WBBL trophy.
Apart from retaining Devine, Scorchers have also been bolstered by the signing of Mikayla Hinkley from Brisbane Heat while Alana King has extended her contract with the club for three more seasons, reports said.
