Bhuabneswar: With the horror –comedy movie Stree 2 starring Shraddha Kapoor and Rajkummar Rao debuting the record books as the first cinema in Bollywood history to mint Rs 600 cr in just 42 days, superstar Hrithik Roshan has congratulated the entire team for the super success.
The dancing star on X said, “It is such a happy time for our Cinema with Stree 2 setting new benchmarks for all of us to look up to. Stree part 1was brilliant and the idea of taking the seed and building a universe and watching it all come together in Stree 2is applause worthy! Bravo to the teams that brought this to celluloid. You guys are true stars. Congratulations Dinesh Vijan, @MaddockFilms, @jioStudios, @amarkaushik, @nirenbhatt and the entire cast and crew! May we continue to have many more such happy times at the movies.”
Hrithik is the second star, after Sunny Deol, to congratulate the Stree 2 team for superb magnetic success at the box office.
HRITHIK WAR READY
The star with stunning fighter physique is ‘War’ ready now. The grapevine has been that in ‘War 2’, Hrithik Roshan will be making a thrilling entry with epic sword fight scene in a Japanese monastery. Moreover, the latest buzz doing rounds is the actor’s much awaited War 2 shooting is almost completed. The film was given the final touches and will be going for early release in 2025.
War 2 is all about Khalid (Tiger Shroff), an Indian Research and Analysis Wing (RAW) agent, who was assigned the task of eliminating Kabir (Hrithik Roshan), a former soldier-turned-rogue, who mentored Khalid. Col Luthra (Ashutosh Rana) is on a mission to bring Kabir to justice, who seems to be eliminating RAW targets all over the world.
The lady love of Hrithik Roshan in War 2 is Kiara Advani, while in the War 1 its was Vaani Kapoor. Fans loved the scintillating chemistry between Roshan and Vaani. The Kaho na Pyar hai star’s 2019 film War was a major success and his highest-grossing movie, where he portrayed the memorable role as RAW agent Kabir. The YRF Spy Universe has been a massive hit, and this new installment promises to escalate the thrill further.
The twist in War 2 is Jr NTR is playing the antagonist role Nazira here. This will be south superstar’s bollywood debut.
The first look of War 2 was out recently. Fans have shared a video from Italy where Hrithik is seen filming. The star looks rugged and stylish in a white t-shirt, light blue shirt, white trousers, and sunglasses. Another clip shows him reviewing a shot with director Ayan Mukerji.
The star with stunning dance moves had a very sullen box office record for the last 5-years. His biggest hit came way back in 2019. Two of his latest films – Vikram Vedha and Fighter – had been average grossers only.
