Both Ajit Agarkar and Gautam Gambhir will remain firmly in their current positions through the 2027 ODI World Cup. While Agarkar’s original term faced a formal review in September, board officials prefer operational continuity during this transition. Gambhir also retains complete control over senior team tactics, though overall red-ball and white-ball performance reviews will now align directly under Laxman's strategic oversight.
