Bhubaneswar, June 3: Vote share increased in 15 Lok Sabha constituencies of Odisha this year as compared to 2019 general election while rest six seats reported less voting.
High voting share was registered in Kalahandi, Koraput, Nabarangpur, Bargarh, Balangir, Kandhamal, Dundargarh, Sambalpur, Keonjhar, Puri, Cuttack, Jagatsinghpur, Balasore, Jajpur and Bhubaneswar.
On the other hand, Berhampur, Aska, Dhenkanal, Mayurbhanj, Bhadrak and Kendrapara Lok Sabha seats registered less voting.
The Bhubaneswar constituency reported 64.49 percent voting in 2024, round 5 percent higher than 59.60 percent in 2019.
Similarly, Sambalpur, Koraput, Nabarangpur, Balangir and Puri registered 3 percent rise in vote share than 2019 while Kalahandi, Bargarh and Cuttack witnessed 2 percent.
Odisha, with a total of 21 Lok Sabha constituencies went to polls in four phases. The first phase was held on May 13 and the following phases were held on May 20, May 25 and June 1.
The assembly polls in Odisha were conducted simultaneously along with the General Elections.
