New Delhi, June 4: Counting of votes has commenced for all 543 Lok Sabha constituencies spread across 28 states and 8 union territories.
The extensive seven-phase polling process for these constituencies concluded on Saturday, June 1.
The electoral journey began with Phase 1 on April 19, followed by Phase 2 on April 26, Phase 3 on May 7, Phase 4 on May 13, Phase 5 on May 20, Phase 6 on May 25, and culminated with the final phase on June 1, 2024.
Ahead of the counting process for the Lok Sabha elections, Chief Election Commissioner Rajiv Kumar stated on Monday, "The counting will initially commence with postal ballots. Within half an hour, the counting of Electronic Voting Machines (EVMs) will begin. There is absolute certainty about this process."
