Bhubaneswar, Oct 18: Vigilance sleuths have traced several properties including 17 plots of Prasanna Kumar Pani, Junior Engineer (Technical Consultant) working in the office of Pallahara BEO.
Officials said that they have also traced five buildings including three multi storied buildings and one flat in Bhubaneswar of Pani.
“We have traced 17 plots in prime areas of Bhubaneswar, Cuttack, Pipili, Nimapara, Jankia and Jatani. We have also traced bank and insurance deposits worth Rs 51 lakh, cash worth Rs 3.21 lakh and other assets during searches on properties linked to Pani,” said an official.
A team of Vigilance officials led by six DSPs, six Inspectors and other staff is carrying out simultaneous raids at nine places associated with Pani on the strength of search warrants issued by Special Judge, Vigilance, Bhubaneswar. The searches are being conducted on the allegation of amassing disproportionate assets by Pani.
