Malkangiri, Nov 2: Odisha vigilance on Thursday arrested Revenue Inspector (RI) while demanding and accepting bribe from a complainant.
The accused has been identified as Suraj Chandra Bala, Revenue Inspector (RI) of Motu Circle under Motu Tahasil in Malkangiri district.

Acting on a tip-off, Odisha vigilance conducted a raid and caught Bala red-handed while accepting a bribe amount of Rs 15,000 from a Complainant for issuance of notice for apprance in an Encroachment Case registered against the complainant.
The entire bribe money has been recovered from the accused Bala and seized.
Following the trap, simultaneous searches are going on at two locations of Bala from DA angle. Further investigation is in progress against the accused.
