Bhubaneswar, July 10: Odisha Vigilance on Wednesday apprehended a RI in Kandhamal for demanding and accepting bribe from a complainant.
The accused has been identified as Dilip Sahu of Durgapanga revenue circle under Kotagarh Tehsil in Odisha’s Kandhamal district. Sahu was caught red-handed while demanding illegal gratification of Rs 5,000 from a complainant for processing his application in a mutation case for issuance of ROR (Land Patta).
The entire bribe money has been recovered from the accused Sahu and seized.
Following the trap, simultaneous searches were carried out at two locations of Sahu from a DA angle.
Berhampur Vigilance registered a case in this connection.
