Bhubaneswar, Nov 9: Odisha Vigilance on Thursday apprehended Dillip Kumar Dikhit, GRS under Korei Block in Jajpur Jagatsinghpur district while demanding and accepting a bribe.
Vigilance caught Dikhit red-handed while receiving a bribe amount of Rs 5,000 from a complainant for recommending bonus amount for completion of the house under IAY scheme under stipulated time as well as to post photographs of the house, which stands in the name of IAY beneficiary who happens to be the brother of the complainant.
The entire bribe amount has been recovered and seized. Following the trap, search is going on at the house of Dikhit in Jajpur district.
In this connection, a case has been registered with Cuttack Vigilance and investigation is in progress against Dikhit.
