Bhubaneswar, December 11: Odisha Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi on Thursday laid the foundation stone for the new annex buildings of the Special Circuit House, Tehsil Office, and Sub-Registrar Office in Cuttack. The Special Circuit House will feature five floors over 20,175 square meters, with a cost of Rs. 13.28 crore. The Tehsil and Sub-Registrar Offices will have four floors, covering 3,672 square meters, at an investment of Rs. 18.80 crore.

In his address, the Chief Minister said that these new offices would provide modern facilities, easing services like land registration for the public. He stated that the new infrastructure will help solve people's problems conveniently, eliminating the need to visit higher offices.

Majhi highlighted the government's ongoing efforts to offer accessible services, noting that Tehsil offices would act as one-stop solutions for land acquisition. He mentioned the opening of new sub-registration offices across 44 tehsils, with plans to cover the remaining 56 soon. These offices will also feature new buildings and aim to reduce intermediaries and corruption through digital services.

Revenue Minister Suresh Pujari, Cuttack Barabati MLA Sophia Firdosh, and other prominent leaders attended the event.
