Bhubaneswar, Aug 17: Mystery shrouded over the death of a youth after his body was recovered from the toilet of Bhubaneswar–Delhi Duronto Express on Saturday.
According to Government Railway Police (GRP) sources, the deceased has been identified as Shiv Kumar from Uttar Pradesh. His body was recovered from a toilet inside the B-3 coach of express train when it was stationed at the washing line of Bhubaneswar railway station.
As per reports, railway staff became suspicious when one of the toilets in the coach stayed locked for an unusually long time. When they opened the door, they found a body inside under strange circumstances. Thereafter, the body was sent for post-mortem examination.
There are still many questions that need answers, like how the young man got into the coach and what caused his death. Authorities are investigating all possibilities at this point.
A probe has been launched into the matter to ascertain the circumstances leading to the death of the youth, said the GRP officials.
