Rayagada, Jan 10: A minor fire broke out at a cinema hall in Rayagada district, Odisha, on Saturday during celebrations by fans of actor Prabhas for the release of his much-anticipated film The RajaSaab. Thankfully, no casualties were reported, and the incident was swiftly contained.

According to reports, fans of the South Indian superstar were performing a traditional ‘Aarti’ in front of the screen inside Ashok Talkies in Rayagada town as part of the celebration for the horror-comedy film's release. The fire reportedly started due to carelessness during the ritual when an Aarti plate accidentally fell, causing papers scattered on the floor to catch fire.

The situation led to brief panic among the moviegoers, but fans at the scene quickly took action to bring the fire under control, preventing it from spreading further. Fortunately, fire services were not needed, and no injuries or fatalities were reported.

Following the incident, the cinema hall resumed its normal operations, and the atmosphere returned to normal. Authorities did not report any further disruptions.

Directed by Maruthi Dasari, The RajaSaab tells the story of a young heir who balances his royal heritage with a rebellious spirit as he rises to power and establishes unconventional rules. The film features an ensemble cast, including Sanjay Dutt, Boman Irani, Nidhhi Agerwal, Malavika Mohanan, Riddhi Kumar, and Zarina Wahab.
