​​​​​​​Bhubaneswar, Oct 16: With a significant achievement, Odisha Crime Branch on Thursday arrested the most wanted in the Odisha Police SI recruitment scam, Muna Mohanty.

According to police sources, Muna Mohanty was one of the masterminds behind the high-profile Police SI job scam.

After a number of frantic manhunts Muna was picked from a farmhouse in Nayagarh today. He was on the run since the biggest job scam of the state was unveiled by the Berhampur Police while 134 accused including some aspirants were taken to custody from a bus leaving for Andhra Pradesh.

Apart from the key accused, the Crime Branch held the owner of the farmhouse for allegedly hiding Muna on his premises.

Further, interrogation to the accused is underway. He would be sent to judicial remand after his connivance in the SI Exams kickback is revealed, said police.
