Bhubaneswar, July 1: Uncertainty prevails over the Nabin Odisha Magic Card launched by former Chief Minister of Odisha Naveen Patnaik for both undergraduate and postgraduate students of the state.
The card was launched to offer digital connectivity, access to online libraries, online courses, facilitate seamless travel and to enable students to achieve their dreams.
With the smartcard, students will have access to WiFi services, mobile phone recharging, online tutoring, as well as discounts on book purchases and travel fare concessions for buses, trains, and planes, the former CM said launching it on March 5. The registration for the card began from March 6, accessible at www.magiccard.odisha.gov.in and the distribution was scheduled to commence by August 15.
After change of government in Odisha, students are now unsure about getting the card and the website is not opening after login.
The dedicated website for Nabin Odisha Magic Card www.magiccard.odisha.gov.in is not functioning anymore raising concern among students over its validity.
