Two students of Stewart School Cuttack go missing in Mahanadi

Cuttack, Aug. 8: Two students of the Stewart School Cuttack have reportedly gone missing in the River Mahanadi on Tuesday.

Efforts by the fire services wings are underway to find the missing ones.

Sources said a group of at least eight students left home for the Stewart School to attend their classes. However, they went to the Sidheswar Temple beside the Mahanadi for a visit. Meanwhile, two students who entered the water were swept away by the swelling water.

On being informed, the fire services team Barang and Cuttack police rushed to the spot and initiated a prompt rescue operation.

 Operation is underway to ascertain the whereabouts of the missing students.
