Bhubaneswar, Jan 27: Two Odia women led way on the Kartavya Path towards women empowerment during the Republic Day Ceremony – 2024 in New Delhi on Friday.
One of them enlightened the glory of women with their active participation in the field of space science whereas the other commanded the exclusive women Contingent of the Central Industrial Forces (CISF) on the National Festival having being epitomes of Woman Empowerment and contribution of the women community in safety, security and prosperity of the nation.
CISF Assistant Commandant Tanmayee Mohanty and dynamic space scientist of Defence Research and Development organisation (DRDO) Sunita Devi Jena are the two laurels of Odisha to become the centre stage at this year’s Republic Day ceremony in the National Capital of India.
Sunita is an eminent scientist and a guided missile expert. She is known for her contribution to developing indigenous liquid technology. Proud Odia girl Sunita Devi Jena was assigned to lead the tableau of the Defence Research and Development organisation (DRDO) which showcased the role of women in the national defence.
Similarly, as a proud privilege CISF Assistant Commandant Tanmayee Mohanty led the Central Industrial Security Force (CISF) all-women contingent on the Kartavya Path during the 75th Republic Day parade, that was representing women power and women warriors. During the flag march Mohanty demonstrated her excellence to impress the President and 1300 special guests, invited from across the world, with her unique ways of march past and stupendous performance.
