Jharsuguda, July 3: In a tragic incident early this morning, two young men lost their lives after being struck by lightning. Ashok Rohidas (45) and Chudamani Rohidas (29), residents of the Banjeri area under Badamal police station, had gone to Paunsh Pokhari in Kurebaga around 4:30 AM.

As heavy rain began suddenly, the two were returning home seeking shelter when the lightning struck. Both succumbed to their injuries on the spot.

Police reached the scene promptly and have recovered the bodies for further investigation.
